vintage chair from the flea market
The past four days have been filled with sites of beauty. We spent the day in Brockton, MA at The Fuller Museum. It was an exhibit on Craft in America. I had wanted to go to this exhibit when it opened but, had forgotten about it. It popped into my head and we got to see it on its last day! A lovely museum with views of a pond outside the framed windows. A thunderstorm came up dramatically as we sat in the rock garden outdoors by the water.
We went to the annual kite festival at Hammonasett State Beach Park on Saturday. When we left the house it was beautiful outside but, as we got closer to the shore the clouds began to roll in. By the time we got to the beach it was pretty chilly and very windy...perfect kite flying winds! We watched some of the demonstrations and wandered around the beach watching folks fly their kites. The beach itself was pretty deserted so it was my favorite kind of beach day...no one to share the sand with and you get to have a view of the ocean all to yourself without all the clutter of people and beach paraphenalia. We walked along the boardwalk enjoying the peace of the day.
