Snake: Transmutation

This medicine teaches you on a personal level that you are a universal being.  Through accepting all aspects of your life, you can bring about the transmutation of the fire medicine.  This fire energy, when functioning on the material plane, creates passion, desire, procreation, and physical vitality.  On the emotional plane, it becomes ambition, creation, resolution, and dreams.  On the mental plane it becomes intellect, power, charisma, and leadership.  When Snake energy reaches the spiritual plane, it becomes wisdom, understanding, wholeness, and connection to the Great Spirit.  If you have chosen this symbol, there is a need within you to transmute some thought, action, or desire so that wholeness may be achieved. This is heavy magic, but remember, magic is no more than a change in consciousness. Become the magician or the enchantress: transmute the energy and accept the power of the fire.

We stopped at Webs and I picked up some organic cotton handspun yarn for my Milkweed Pod Project. And last but, not least we went to The Iron Horse for dinner and to see Leo Kottke play.  He is an amazing guitarist.  The place was packed!

I made several of these cards for Valentines Day.  

What is this thing called Soul Collage? It is a most unique blend of art (the fun of collage) and soul (spiritual practice). It is total creative fun and enjoyment, yet it is a deepening, healing, process that takes us on inward journey of discover and delight. It's a way to heal our inner separations. Each card represents a separate energy or voice that has something to say about life's journey. It is only by listening, honoring and naming each voice that we become whole. It has a social side (creating and interpreting cards in small groups) but it can also be a powerful to use for individual reverie and self-reflection.  It's an art, a process, a tool. I have been making soul collage cards for a few years now.  It is a nice meditative activity and brings focus to a day, a feeling, a moment.  The book Soul Collage by Seena Frost can be found by visiting her site Soul Collage. Combining flower essence work with Soul Collage can bring thoughtful insight to an issue. The Australian Bush Essence Creative Essence is a wonderful combination essence to take to open up your creative juices and help unblock stuck places.
